A quiet, beautiful place to keep them close, with their name inside a heart of tiny paw prints.
- Their name in a heart of paw prints, laser engraved on the lid
- Solid red alder with natural wood grain
- Unscrews from the bottom to place the ashes inside
- Small for pets up to about 20 lb, large for pets up to about 50 lb
- Made in the USA for indoor display
When a dog or cat has shared your home for years, you want somewhere gentle to keep them. This urn looks like a keepsake box, so it can sit on a mantel or a bookshelf beside their photo and their collar. If the ashes came home in a plain container, it gives them a lasting place of their own.
A trail of little paw prints walks the shape of a heart around their name, with room underneath for a line like Always Our Girl and the years you had together. The paw prints suit a cat as well as a dog, and every word on the lid is yours.

Choosing a Size
A common guide is 1 cubic inch of space for every pound your pet weighed. The small urn holds about 23 cubic inches and suits cats and small dogs up to about 20 lb. The large urn holds about 54 cubic inches and suits dogs up to about 50 lb. If you are between sizes, choose the large. For a pet over 50 lb, the large urn can keep a portion of the ashes as a keepsake.
How to Personalize
- Type your pet's name exactly as you want it engraved (up to 14 characters, so two short names like Max & Bella fit).
- Add a line under the name if you like, such as Forever Loved or Best Boy Ever (up to 22 characters, engraved in capitals).
- Add a bottom line if you like, such as 2009 to 2026 (up to 20 characters).
- Pick the size: small for pets up to about 20 lb, large for pets up to about 50 lb.
We engrave exactly what you type, so check spelling and capitals before you add it to your cart. Our team laser engraves every urn in Monroe, Connecticut.

Questions
What should I write on the lid?
Short words read best. A few that families choose: Always Our Girl, Best Boy Ever, Forever Loved, Until We Meet Again, Run Free. You can also leave the extra lines blank and keep just the name.
Is it only for dogs?
No. Paw prints suit a cat, a dog or a rabbit, and the words are entirely yours.
What if my pet weighed more than 50 lb?
The large urn holds about 54 cubic inches, so for a bigger dog it can keep a portion of the ashes as a keepsake. Some families keep part of the ashes in an urn like this and scatter the rest somewhere that meant something to them.
How do the ashes go inside?
Turn the urn over and unscrew the bottom, place the ashes inside, then close it back up. Nothing on the lid or sides needs to open.
Can it be kept outside?
It is solid wood made for display indoors, such as on a mantel, a shelf or a dresser.
